On The Road Again...

Most of Thursday was spent shopping. We were in Salt Lake City, which is an absolutely beautiful city. There are lots of things I like about it, not the least of which is its omnipresent view of the snow-capped mountains. Because the majority of the population is LDS (Mormon), there are lots of “preparedness” items available. You can buy #10 cans of dehydrated onions and peppers, 10 gallon buckets full of wheat kernels or brown rice. You can even find grain mills in WAL-MART. The only ones I’ve ever found are online. For a large city, it’s very clean, and the people (as I said, primarily LDS) are very friendly.

We watched another episode or two of the Walton’s and slept at the Flying J. We’re exciting, aren’t we?

Friday we started into Yellowstone. We missed a turn and had the accidental blessing of some of the most beautiful scenery! We stopped for lunch at a little turnout.
